During Advent we celebrate the coming of Jesus and the coming of Christmas. Advent is a way of ramping up to the celebration of the birth of Jesus. The word advent means ‘the first appearance of something” – in this case, it’s ‘God with us as a person’ – Jesus!
Hope – The Prophet’s Candle

Joy – The Shepherds’ Candle
SuperTruth: We can have joy knowing that the gift of God is for everyone, rich or poor.
SuperVerse: But the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!

Peace – The Angels’ Candle
SuperTruth: Jesus is our Prince of Peace.
